The purpose of the position is to oversee all financial matters. It is necessary to work with the Sales, Service and Parts Manager and other external stakeholders.

Management
? Manage all accounting operations including Payroll, Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
? Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
? Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objective
? Providing financial guidance and analytical support to all departments
Transactions
? Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
? Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly
? Ensure inventory is accurate
? Process payroll semi-monthly
? Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
? Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis
? Maintain the chart of accounts
? Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
? Maintain and ensure quality in a system of controls over accounting transactions
Reporting
? Issue timely and complete financial statements (monthly and quarterly)
? Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report and support year-end close processes
? Provide financial analyses as needed
? Support and maintain long-term business plan with senior management
Compliance
? Coordinate the provision of information to external accountants
? Comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings including GST and payroll
Qualifications and Skills
? Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
? Computer proficiency with Quickbooks
? Computer with Lightspeed not necessary but would be considered an asset
? Very strong interpersonal skills.
? Strong communication skills, including writing, listening, and speaking.

Experience/Education
? Post-secondary education in accounting, business or related degree
? A CPA designation or final stages of CPA program
? Accounting: minimum 5 years
Experience with CDK Lightspeed Dealership software is an asset
