*Job Summary* We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter Helper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist experienced carpenters in various construction projects, including residential and commercial builds. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high standards of quality. The Carpenter Helper will gain hands-on experience in multiple aspects of carpentry and construction, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their skills in the field. *Duties* · Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas. · Assist carpenters in construction activities. · Assist in drilling and blasting rock at construction sites · Remove debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment. · Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed. · Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps · Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials · Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed. At least 3 years of work experience. -3 Years of work experience Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $19.20 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Extended health care * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Experience: * carpentry: 1 year (preferred) Language: * English (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Driving Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationDartmouth, NS
