Job details
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Electrician. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Maintenance. Willing to relocate. Commercial. Installation. Troubleshooting/diagnostic. Tasks: Install electrical controls and panel boxes. Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes. Install underground wiring and cables. Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations. Splice, join and connect wires. Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits. Troubleshoot and isolate faults. Install surface mount and/or overhead cables. Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs. Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures. Conduct preventive maintenance programs. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Electrician Trade Certification. Apprenticeship training: Level three apprenticeship training. Equipment and machinery experience: Generators. Conventional electrical devices. Dry cell and storage batteries. High voltage equipment. Instrumentation. Solid state devices. Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses not paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Tight deadlines. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Safety equipment/gear.
