Licensed Millwright (433A) with a demonstrated history of manufacturing maintenance work, ideally in the food industry. Strong Preventive Maintenance background. This role maintains facility equipment so that it is safe and functional. Located in Scarborough, Ontario, Morrison Lamothe Inc. manufactures frozen food products on high-speed industrial equipment.

*Responsibilities:*
* Performs routine equipment maintenance, inspections, with strict adherence to GMP, Food Safety and Personal hygiene policies.
* Performs troubleshooting on equipment as required.
* Involved in maintenance continuous improvement initiatives for increasing efficiency and reducing waste in the production line
* Works as a team with other maintenance technicians to maintain plant machinery during non-production hours (preventive and corrective maintenance tasks). Duties may include on-call rotation, and responding to off-hours emergency calls.
* Performs mechanical installation, modification, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of equipment, utilities, systems and or facilities as required, following SOPs, WHIMS, GMP guidelines and EH&S policies
* Familiar with CMMS and working in a digital maintenance environment. Safety First mindset. Provides essential services coverage during plant shutdowns and Statutory holidays as required

* *Qualifications / Certifications: *
* Millwright certification 433A
* Industrial Electrician 442A certification is a plus
* TSSA 3rd Class Operating Engineer Certification or Refrigeration Operator Class B certification in good standing is a plus.
* Specialization in TIG welding is a plus
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Must be legally entitled to work for in Canada
* Minimum 2 years work experience in a food manufacturing maintenance role.
* Mechanically inclined, and able to carry out some building maintenance and general repairs
* Work in compliance with OHSA, wear PPE and report any contraventions of the act.
* Possesses a positive working attitude and teamwork skills
* *Other Skills / Knowledge: *
* Effective reading and comprehension of SOPs, policies, work process instructions, GMP and EHS guidelines, etc.
* Fluency in English and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
*Effort ? Physical: *
* Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

* Motor coordination, hand and finger dexterity are required for operating kettles and machines as well as adjusting production equipment with the proper use of mechanical tools.

* Remain composed, focused, and reliable during times of work pressure when issues arise in the production process.
