True World Foods Canada is one of the largest wholesale distributors of fresh and frozen seafood and specialty grocery items. With more than 25 locations in USA, the business has expanded to North America with 5 divisions including Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal and Quebec City. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our accounting team as an accounting clerk. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent numerical skills, and have a keen eye for accuracy, we want to hear from you. * Manage AR and AP for 5 locations across Canada. * Accounts and bank reconciliation. * Receive, and post invoices to the system * Match Purchase orders with invoices * Post cash transactions to the system * Obtain, verify, and post expense reports in a timely manner. * Update prepaid expense schedules and post monthly amortization to the system * Record and apply cash/cheque receipts from customers. * Perform petty cash reconciliation * Prepare and distribute AR aging reports on a regular basis * Perform other accounting related duties as needed *Qualifications* * 3 years of accounting / account payable experience * Accounting diploma or certificate * Attention to details and accuracy * Intermediate to Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Words, Email etc) * Communicate clearly in English *Hours* * Full time, 40 hours plus available overtime * Starts from 7:30 AM and ends at 4:00 PM *Benefits* * Paid sick days, statutory holidays, and vacations * Extended Medical, Dental, Prescription, life insurance Find more about our company at www.trueworldfoods.ca Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $25.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Discounted or free food * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * RRSP match * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: * corporate accounting tasks: 2 years (preferred) * Accounting: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person
