Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Construction. Commercial. Residential. Estimating. Commercial and/or industrial construction. Tasks: Prepare production and other reports. Supervise workers and projects. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Train or arrange for training. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Estimate costs and materials. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Recommend personnel actions. Read blueprints and drawings. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Leading/instructing individuals. Train workers in duties and policies. Project management. Prepare purchase orders. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements. Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors. Ensure adherence to government regulations. Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes. Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations. Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations . Supervision: 5-10 people. Computer and technology knowledge: AutoCAD. Workday. Construction specialization: Roofing. Area of specialization: Construction design and supervision. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own vehicle. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Organized. Team player.
