Are you passionate about animal welfare and looking for meaningful, hands-on work? Join our team as a Farm Manager Assistant where you'll play a key role in the care and wellbeing of over 70 rescue animals. This is a rewarding, active position that gets you outside every day, working closely with donkeys and other animals, supporting daily operations and being part of a dedicated team making a real difference. No two days are the same. *Key Responsibilities* * Provide daily care to donkeys and other sanctuary animals * Observe and report animal health and behaviour concerns promptly * Operate and maintain tractor and equipment (training provided if not experienced) * Administer basic medications * Assist in routine hoof care procedures * Clean and maintain stalls and paddocks * Perform basic property maintenance (fencing, shelters, tools) * Maintain accurate records of animal care, supplies and routines * Support and guide volunteers in daily tasks * Assist with educational tours and fundraising events *Qualifications* * Previous animal care experience (equine preferred) * Comfortable working around large animals * Physically capable of year-round outdoor work * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to follow daily routines and work effectively as part of a team * Valid driver's license required *Personal Qualities* * Compassionate: You treat animals with patience and care * Organized: You work efficiently and keep things on track * Team-Oriented: You collaborate well with others * Dependable: You arrive on time and stay on task *What we offer* * A meaningful opportunity to support animal welfare * Hands-on training in donkey and sanctuary care * A dedicated and supportive team environment * Occasional paid overtime Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.20 per hour Expected hours: No less than 35 per week Benefits: * Casual dress * Flexible schedule * On-site parking Schedule: * Holidays * Monday to Friday * Overtime * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Roseneath, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Work Location: In person
