You ensure proper safety policies and procedures are followed; and you actively participate in health & safety initiatives taking a lead role in safety optimization in the drive towards zero incidents.        An ability to uphold the code of conduct.  Responsibilities Include: Responsible for leading all aspects of our plant sanitation program including quarterly s/ change out of building air makeup filters/walk on ceiling/and roof keeping drains open and roof neat and debris clear. Responsible to keep the sanitation manuals up to date and make changes when needed. Being on top of Chemical orders and ordering on coupa. Daily walks throughout the entire plants looking for any potential GMP violations or sanitation issues and reporting to teams and handling these ASAP. (Tour Ready) Comply with all safety standards set forth by McCain Responsible for the completion of all TQC documentation and HACCP system procedures for the Processing areas. Comply with all GMP principles set forth by McCain Foods during employee orientation. Some lifting required (up to 30 lbs unassisted). Responsible for all additional duties as they become assigned. Must have training on chemical systems, repairing chemical pumps/ keeping trash pumps in the basement fully operational and reporting if any needs any maintenance work. Willing to be trained for allergy training as well as training new team members in these aspects of sanitation to ensure safety. Actively lead team meetings, on sanitation s day running the safety meeting as well have a plan setup for crewing. Dealing with the day-to-day issues of operating in a fast-pasted, temperature controlled to 10 C environment.Willing to be a trainer, example would be train for confine spaces/ lift truck training/ fall arrest.  Qualifications: Grade 12 or GED required.Must be able to work shift schedules, nights & weekends.Knowledge of computer operations, particularly RS View, SAP and understanding of CLC Loops are considered assets.Must be mechanically inclined and able to withstand heavy lifting (up to 30 lbs unassisted).Ability to work with minimal supervision.Proven ability to train individuals and teams is an asset.Ability to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsibly.Need to be comfortable with heights or confine space.Ability to accept and embrace change in the day-to-day operations.  Applicants must possess a good safety record and continually demonstrate safety first.   Selection of employees for promotion is based upon such factors as ability, special training, experience, prior PEP Ratings, attendance, ability to meet the physical demands of the position, education, length of service, and involvement in additional assignments.  Length of service will be the determining factor when all other factors are relatively equal.  Testing may be required depending on the position applied for. Interviews will held as necessary and those selected for interview are determined based on meeting the criteria as noted above.
