*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting various equipment, ensuring optimal performance for our customers. The Small Engine Technician will work with a variety of tools and machinery, providing exceptional service while adhering to safety standards.
*Responsibilities*
* Working on Small motors primarily used in commercial flat roofing
* Diagnose and repair small engines, including honda gx270, hoist motors, and other outdoor power equipment.
* Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively.
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure reliability and safety.
* Utilize hand tools and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Assist in sales by providing recommendations for parts and services based on customer needs.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
* Engage in heavy lifting as necessary during repairs or equipment handling.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various types of small engines.
* Familiarity with electrical systems related to small engines is a plus.
* Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all repairs performed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
