*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, ensuring that gardens, lawns, and other green areas are well-kept and thriving. *Duties* * Perform regular landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. * Irrigate plants and lawns effectively to promote healthy growth. * Utilize hand tools and power tools for various gardening tasks such as planting, weeding, and mulching. * Build and maintain garden beds, pathways, and other outdoor structures as needed. * Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, or flowers while ensuring minimal disruption to existing landscaping. * Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or potential issues. * Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing basic repairs as necessary. * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. *Experience* * Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not required. * Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. * Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance is a plus. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety standards. * Must have own transportation Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal Contract length: 4 months Pay: $16.55-$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Language: * English (preferred) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2025-06-23 Expected start date: 2025-07-01- LocationPontypool, ON
