*Job Summary* We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist experienced carpenters in various tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. As a Carpenter Helper, you will gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while supporting the team in delivering high-quality craftsmanship. *Duties* * Assist carpenters in the installation and repair of structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. * Help with construction painting, ensuring surfaces are properly prepared and finished. * Participate in cabinet installation, ensuring precise alignment and secure fittings. * Support electrical installation tasks by providing assistance and following safety protocols. * Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. * Operate power tools safely and effectively for various tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. * Fabricate components as directed by lead carpenters, ensuring adherence to quality standards. * Apply caulking to seal gaps and joints for improved durability and aesthetics. * Assist with masonry work as needed, including bricklaying or stone setting. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in construction or carpentry is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. * Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus. * Basic knowledge of cabinet installation processes is desirable. * Understanding of electrical installation principles is beneficial. * Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. * Proficiency in using power tools safely is required. * Skills in fabricating components according to specifications are advantageous. * Experience with caulking techniques is a plus. * Knowledge of masonry practices is beneficial but not mandatory. * Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. * Must be physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting heavy materials.
