PurposeDirectly leads two operations managers while indirectly managing with Canadian Research Analysts, a team of approximately 30 individuals in Canada including Research Associates, equity research rotational staff, co-op students. The mandate for this position includes the execution of business operations including financial budget management and human capital functions for the Equity Research department.What You'll Do:Hire, and indirectly manage, a team of approximately 30 Research Associates in Canada ensuring that these individuals develop their skills to become high-performing Associates during their approximate 3- to 5-year tenure in Equity Research.Build a farm team of Associates for future Research Analyst openings.Manage an operations team to support finance, Research Associate human capital and other administrative support for the Research team.Champion a high-performance environment and execute a people strategy that includes attracting, retaining, developing and motivating the team by fostering diversity and an inclusive work environment, managing succession and development planning for Research Associates. Build and manage an annual budget of $60+ million and the quarterly variance analysis process.Lead and provide oversight and direction on the implementation of large projects and initiatives.Develop training and career development initiatives for Research Associates, and Operation teams.
