Responsibilities</li><li>Perform accurate monthly account reconciliations and year end audits.</li><li>Maintain and manage the general ledger and all related account reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all tax remittances (e.g., HST, payroll taxes, corporate taxes).</li><li>Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and explanations.</li><li>Process vendor invoices and ensure appropriate coding and approvals.</li><li>Record and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.</li><li>Support the budgeting and forecasting process, monitoring variances and providing f inancial analysis.</li><li>Implement and maintain accounting procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, laws, and internal policies.</li><li>Use accounting software (Sage 300, Dynamics 365) and Excel to generate reports and analyze financial data.</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>6-7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real sector companies.</li><li>Strong knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, and full-cycle accounting.</li><li>Proficient in Sage 300 and Microsoft Dynamics 365.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, etc.).</li><li>Strong understanding of audit processes and experience working with auditors.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.</li><li>CPA or equivalent certification is considered an asset.</li></ul><p> </p></div>Company Description<div>COVENANT GROUP LTD is a Staffing Firm offering equal labor opportunities in compliance with all applicable laws in the U.S.A. for personnel recruitment and selection.
