Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: General manufacturing. Mining Industry. Tasks: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Measuring tools: Micrometers. Callipers. Calibre. Gauges. Verniers. Equipment and machinery experience: Engine lathes. Milling machines. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Tight deadlines. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills.
