Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help medical examiner in charge. Set up and dismantle equipment. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices. Plan physiotherapy programs. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Maintain inventory of equipment. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Advise patients on corrective exercises, lifestyle and nutrition. Order supplies and maintain inventory. Initiate, design and implement specialized therapy programs. Develop and implement treatment programs. Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk. Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the examination. Collect demographic information from a patient. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Hand-eye co-ordination. Work under pressure.
