Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal. Determine weldability of materials. Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment. Instruct apprentices. Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized. Team player. Hardworking. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
