<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>We have an immediate opening for an <strong>Garage Door Installer Helper </strong>located in the <strong>Regina </strong>branch. Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the Helper will work as part of a two-person crew, this position will assist in the service and/or installation of residential or commercial doors while learning on the job from the Garage Door Technician. This role is a permanent, full time position with opportunities for advancement.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>D&A Testing for site access or post incident</li><li>Maintain a professional demeanor</li><li>Out of Town work, without notice.</li><li>Focus on quality workmanship</li><li>Championing safety standards</li><li>Providing superior customer service</li><li>Working with hand tools, electric tools and ladders</li><li>Regular interaction with warehouse staff, construction Project Managers, customers other trades and safety personnel</li><li>Taking direction from the Lead Technician and providing support</li><li>Actively participating in learning the trade</li><li>Participate in training and execution of welding for installation or repairs if required</li><li>Complete all required paperwork for your position daily and submitted on time at the end of each workday- ie: timesheets,</li><li>the ability to transport product on trailers and manlifts (on trailers) to and from sites safely.</li><li>Daily attendance and punctuality</li><li>Accountable to making sure safety training and tickets are up to date and valid- clearly communicate to scheduler on required renewals- such as Fall Protection, OSSA Elevated Work Platform, Standard First Aid, CSTS, etc)<br />General warehouse duties</li><li>Other duties, as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Possessing resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment</li><li>Comfortable with heights (ladders & lifts)</li><li>Above average mechanical aptitude</li><li>Strong safety mindset</li><li>Must be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat. Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting and kneeling and managing equipment and tools required</li><li>Intention to learn the trade and progress to a Lead Technician</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 - 6 months' experience in a relevant trade (i.e., construction, welding, millwright etc.)</li><li>Resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment</li><li>Any relevant safety training and tickets is an asset.
