Are you passionate about reliability engineering and employ best practices to ensure the availabilityof applications in production?Combining aspects from DevOps, SysAdmin, and Test Engineer, the role of Site Reliability Engineerwill allow you to have the opportunity to combine your technical ability, strategic thinking andprovide detail-oriented execution in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will join a team with thepurpose of fostering reliability with both development and operations , and designing tools thatmonitor the state of our systems. You will assist in initiatives to continuously refine, build, plan anddeploy practices for improved stability, reliability, efficiency, repeatability and security. The team hasa strong focus on being people first and promotes support and training on both an individual and ateam level.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:Monitor critical platforms in the bank that are expected to run hundreds of applicationsImprove and maintain site availability, scalability, service and system performanceInvestigate system errors and problems, bottleneck analysis of the system at scale, etc.Setup monitoring systems and application metrics as well as supervise them forprediction/detection of failuresParticipate in Architectural Review Boards and recommending / reviewing system reliabilityrequirementsProvide solutions for performance management, disaster recovery, monitoring and accessmanagementProvide training programs for both internal and external team membersCreate and manage stability dashboards, utilized by technology and business leadershipAutomate/modernize repeated tasks/reportingReview and vet major projects/changes before production deployment to ensure adequatemonitoring, support and deployment plans are in placeBe part of on call rotationDo you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
