Position: Healthcare Security Guard - Float Pool - KHSC/PCSite: Various LocationsOvertime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hoursHours: Various shift timesPayrate: | $18.00/hour to $22.61/hour Posting Date: June 18, 2025 Internal Closing Date: June 25, 2025External Closing Date: July 9, 2025Job Responsibilities: Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence Greet, assist, and direct members of the public visiting the premises Ensure the safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets Work effectively, both independently and as part of a team Carry out all security duties as specified (including, but not limited to): Proactive/reactive interior & exterior patrols Response & assistance in emergency situations Documenting & reporting of any/all security events on shift Investigate routine incidents Patient watches Parking & smoking by-law enforcement Hospital policy awareness & enforcement Access control/key control Monthly safety inspections Additional duties as assigned Job Requirements: Valid Ontario Security Guard License Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provide Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination) A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2) Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella, Tuberculosis and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
