*Job Overview* Due to Growth! We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, strong analytical abilities, and a commitment to excellence. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, engage in challenging projects, and contribute to the success of our clients. *Responsibilities* * Preparing compilation engagements * Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns * Providing assistance to clients with bookkeeping tasks including recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, preparing HST return and reporting results to management * Participating in the efficient preparation and completion of working papers, financial statements, and corporate tax returns for compilation engagements, according to firm and regulatory standards for clients in various businesses * Effective preparation and completion of tax assignments, including preparation of tax returns (T1, T2, HST), and to ensure queries are cleared and deadlines are met * Preparation of trust returns (T3) *Qualifications* * Strong mathematical skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles. * Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, and ADP. * Experience with payroll processing is preferred but not required. * Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail. * Ability to analyze accounts and prepare financial reports accurately. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. * A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience in a CPA firm will also be considered.
