Cross Country is a leading Canadian Manufacturer in the aggregate and transportation industry and is currently seeking full time sand blasters to join our team. No weekends or shift rotation is required .
Position Summary:
The Sandblaster/Prepper is responsible for ensuring a properly prepared surface for trailers prior to painting. This role uses sandblasting equipment as well as hand sanding and metal prep tools to remove materials from the surface that might prevent proper paint adhesion, i.e., rust, grease, dirt. The Sandblaster/Prepper is responsible for ensuring the blasting are and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained

Position Duties and Responsibilities"
* Use blasting equipment to remove grease, rust, and dirt, etc., from trailers.
* Ensure appropriate control of the pressure and direction of the blasting material.
* Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of blasting sand in the hopper.
* Clean and maintain blasting equipment before/after each use.
* Ensure timely completion of projects to maintain production requirements and workflow.
* Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the blasting area.
* Ensure all safety protocols and Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) are followed during all processes, including proper use of required PPE.
