Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: On-site customer service. Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. Tasks: Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment. Shampoo customers' hair. Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Apply hair extensions. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Hair styling techniques: Iron waving/curling. Extensions. Hair colouring techniques: Bleach. Dyes/tints. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods.
