Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Secretary/Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in a medical office setting and assisting doctor in preparing patient for a visit . Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will contribute to the smooth operation of the office.
Duties:
- Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and book appointments
- Update and maintain patient records using electronic medical records systems (OSCAR)
- Assist with insurance claims processing
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Taking blood pressure, weight ,height preparing vaccinations and injections for doctor to administer
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Secretary/Office assistant , at least 3 years experience working in a medical field
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems ( using OSCAR EMR, additional training will be provided )
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 ? 30 per week
Schedule:
* Day shift
* Evening shift
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed
