*Job Summary*
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating and executing marketing strategies that promote the band?s performances, boost community engagement, and increase awareness of our musical offerings. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for the arts, live music, and community outreach.
*Duties*
* Develop and implement marketing plans for concerts, community events, and fundraisers.
* Design and distribute promotional materials including posters, flyers, social media content, and newsletters.
* Manage and grow our online presence (website, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
* Create engaging content such as videos, photos, and stories highlighting band members and performances.
* Build and maintain an email list of supporters, audience members, and venues.
* Coordinate with local media outlets for press releases, calendar listings, and event coverage.
* Assist with ticket promotions, partnerships, and potential sponsorship opportunities.
* Take photos/video clips at rehearsals or performances for promotional use (or coordinate with a volunteer to do so).
*Qualifications*
* Experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related fields (professional or volunteer).
* Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools (like Mailchimp), and basic design software (e.g., Canva).
* Strong writing and storytelling skills.
* Interest in music, the arts, or performing ensembles.
* Ability to attend occasional performances or meetings (preferred but flexible).
