We are currently seeking to expand our operations, looking for a motivated *Construction* *Site Superintendent* who likes being challenged with complicated, technical work. The *Construction Site Superintendent* will be independent, proactive, have good planning, leadership and problem-solving skills. Responsible for managing and coordinating all on-site elements of projects including Health and Safety for the job site. We specialize in the MUSH sector- Ministries, Universities, Schools and Hospitals. *Responsibilities* * Supervising, scheduling and coordinating workers, subcontractors, suppliers and equipment as required ensuring the project is completed on schedule and budget. * Liaise with project managers, designers, engineers, clients and governing authorities to achieve the scope of work. * Ordering materials and supplies. * Problem solving job site issues quickly and effectively to keep work on track and on time; manage and document job cost extras for review by the Project Manager. * Follow fiscal policy set by Management. * Conduct site meetings as required. * Provide daily site and weekly safety reports; conduct safety talks. * Ensure work is done in compliance with all OHSA Regulations and all applicable health & safety policies and procedures. * We offer a competitive salary, benefits and retirement package. * Thorough compliance with OHSA and COR. * Must be able to obtain police background check/clearance. *Work Schedule:* Day Shift, Monday to Friday, weekends as required *Location:* Hamilton, On *Reports to:* General Site Superintendent *Qualifications* * Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction drawings, specifications and schedules for the ICI industry and have experience with projects that range from $1M to $50M with no less than *5-10 years as a construction site superintendent* in charge of the entire project. * Journeyman certificate or undergraduate/engineering degree in a related discipline. * Must have experience working with Hospitals and Medical facilities. * Must have experience with ground up builds and additions. * In-depth knowledge of and experience in the construction industry and company operations, including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures. * Ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project, including scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating own forces work (OFW) and trade contractors with three-week lookahead schedules. * Thorough understanding of productivity rates or own forces work (OFW), Labor Cost Reports (LCRs), and ability to interpret cost reports. * Experience with COR required. * Proficiency with Gantt charts and basic software, ie. excel/word/project. * Gold Seal certificate is preferred.
