*Position Summary:*
The Financial Controller will lead all day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. This role is vital in supporting executive decision-making and enhancing financial performance.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Oversee all accounting functions including A/P, A/R, GL, payroll, and tax filings
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
* Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors
* Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local financial requirements
* Implement and maintain ERP systems and financial reporting tools
* Provide financial insights and analysis to support business strategy
* Supervise and mentor accounting team members
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master?s preferred)
* 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management
* Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, NetSuite)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
* Experience in food industry preferred
