Retail and Business Banking Engineering team under Canadian Banking Engineering is seeking an experienced PEGA developer. The incumbent is a Pega technical specialist, responsible for the analysis, design, architecture, development, implementation, and support of solutions using Pega.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:Develop and deliver high quality deliverables across all phases of a project, from participating in the requirements, design and build phases through to post-implementation support.Assist with planning and execution of unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.Ensure delivery of solutions within the structured timeframe.Assist in the identification of enhancements to the core base product.Provide technical expertise and ownership of technical solutions.Provide recommendations on standards surrounding systems architecture, application development, systems integration, data modelling, and testing.Collaborate and team up with product owners, technology team, and colleagues. Continual focus on Customer success.Perform reviews and walkthroughs of all major project deliverables to ensure the quality and completeness of functionality, meeting high availability, integrity, and reliability requirements.Keep current on rapidly changing technological trends, self-teach new technologies and maintain an understanding of the Division's business and technology strategies.Provide thought-leadership to clients and team members across business and technical project dimensions, solving complex business requirements.Mentor and train peer group on key Pega technology functionalityProvide technical expertise, guidance, advice, and knowledge transfer to all development staff on all aspects of application development for assigned applications or technology. Provide production and user acceptance testing application support to complex technical problems on all assigned applications and technology that serve each business unit by analyzing problems, implementing solutions, and developing new procedures surrounding supportPerform production support and maintenance activities, including, but not limited to, incident resolution, health checks, problem root-cause analysis, and certificate renewalsEnsure the department's objectives are met by assisting in recruiting qualified staff, providing input to performance appraisals on time and maintaining up to date knowledge of technology, industry, and business practices.Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:Experience working with Pega (CPSA, and CPSSA Certified, Pega 8.X).A degree in computer science, math or engineering related discipline is desirable, along with at least 5 years practical experience.Experience in analysis, design, development, and application deployment of large-scale Java centric enterprise solutionsExperience in Oracle and/or DB2 and MS/SQL are assets.Experience in Azure cloud platform is a plus.Strong Object-Oriented design and coding experience.Creative and flexible in identifying technical solutions to resolve business problems in a rapidly changing, demanding and complex business environment.Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to deliver proposals, provide user support and interact with team members and other departments.Ability to quickly and independently develop an advanced knowledge of the PRPC Architecture and all PRPC design and implementation features.Flexible and adaptable, the individual will be open to learning new methodologies, tools, platforms, and systems.Role requires individuals to be open minded, able to make sound decisions without having all the factsHighly analytical, the individual can quickly understand how various elements relate to one another, having an end-to-end perspective of decisions and anticipating issues/roa
