The CPE App DevOps team is a group of highly skilled professionals that ensure the success of Scotiabank Cloud Platform Engineering initiatives worldwide through the effective use of technology and collaboration.The Senior Manager, App DevOps position leads and oversees a key portfolio within the Cloud Platform Engineering group, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. This role is accountable for development and operations implementation of technology solutions that support Cloud Platform Engineering strategies and objectives as well as ensuring compliance with security and bank regulations. This role will contribute to the overall success of the Cloud Engineering unit by ensuring the delivery of high-quality technology solutions through effective management of technology professionals (direct and indirect reports) and collaboration with key stakeholders within Cloud Engineering and across Scotiabank.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:Works closely with business lines and Cloud Engineering stakeholders (e.g. System Owners, Release Management, Development, Security) in the planning, development and implementation of technology solutions.Responsible for meeting scheduled milestones to ensure project/program objectives are met in a timely manner and are in accordance with the product roadmap approved by the business line.Responsible for timely resolution of internal/external issues, ensuring solutions provided to the business meet best practices, quality and security standardsKey accountabilities include design, development and maintenance of cloud platforms, services, and components to enable safe enterprise-wide use of public cloud offeringsManage communication with all key stakeholders and bank groups that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed.Manages a team of technology professionals to successfully deliver high-quality technology solutions through scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard CI/CD practices.Responsible for resource management, including external contractors, to ensure team is properly staffed to deliver on business and project commitments.Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behavior; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and development planning for the team.Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
