Western Zone is seeking the services of a salaried Medical Internist at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador. Responsibilities include participation in the General Medicine on call schedule and providing inpatient, emergency room, ICU patient care and office-based General Internal Medicine consultation service, performing, reporting Treadmill Exercise Stress Tests, Holter and EKGs reports.Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital is a 44-bed acute care hospital offering 24-hour emergency room service, on-site Chemotherapy Hemodialysis Units, OPD Clinics for Obs/Gyn, Nephrology, Urology, Pain Clinic, Surgery Clinic, two ORs doing predominantly General Surgery lists. Procedural Chronic Pain clinics are run weekly. The hospital is located approximately one hour?s drive away from Corner Brook, the location of Western Memorial Regional Hospital (WMRH). WMRH is a brand new, state of the art, acute care hospital which opened in June 2024. It is a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 80,000 people.
