We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be adept at diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engine equipment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and excellent customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment reliability.
*Responsibilities*
* Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawn mowers, generators, and other outdoor power equipment.
* Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
* Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot equipment issues accurately.
* Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs and recommendations clearly to clients.
* Assist in sales by providing knowledgeable advice on equipment features and benefits to customers.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
* Occasionally perform heavy lifting as required when handling equipment or parts.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably with small engines or related machinery.
* Familiarity with electrical systems related to small engines is a plus.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools.
* Previous customer service experience is highly valued, enhancing the overall customer experience.
* Experience with brands such as Caterpillar is advantageous but not mandatory.
