We are looking for a Lead Machinist for our new Hinton location. None of our machinery is CNC, so applicants must be experienced in operating manual lathes. Responsibilities include the manufacture and repair of mechanical equipment using manual lathes, milling machines, radial arm drills, and a hydraulic press.. Job Requirements Sawmill, mining and/or oilfield experience is strongly recommended Line boring or welding experience is an asset Must be able to interpret blueprints, and make detailed sketches for future reference Interact with customers on complaints and inquiries Review staff timesheets, provide customer updates on costs Provide estimates and quotations Versatile, able to take on one time jobs from start to finish independently We have an excellent health plan and opportunities for growth in our company, including apprenticeship in our other trades (welding and millwrighting).
