*Position Summary*: As a General Laborer in our meat production facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our production processes. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to meat processing, packaging, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. This position is essential to our commitment to producing top-notch cooked and cured meat products for our customers.
*Key Responsibilities:*
Meat Processing*: Assist in the processing of meat products, which may include cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning.*
Packaging*: Safely and accurately package meat products according to company standards.*
Quality Control*: Monitor product quality and report any deviations from quality standards to supervisors.*
Sanitation*: Maintain a clean and hygienic work area by following food safety and sanitation protocols.*
Equipment Operation*: Operate machinery and equipment as necessary, following safety guidelines.*
Teamwork*: Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to ensure a smooth production process.*
Safety*: Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).*
Efficiency*: Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines. As well as ability to read product specifications based on customer demands.*
Adaptability*: Be willing to cross-train and perform various tasks as needed.*
Compliance*: Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.*
*Qualifications:*
*3-5 years of work experience in a food production or meat processing environment is required.*
*Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced & physically demanding environment.*
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.*
*Excellent teamwork and communication skills.*
*Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.*
*Willingness to learn and adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities.*
*Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required.*
*Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.*
