Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Relocation costs covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. Spa. Tasks: Advise clients on beauty care treatments. Analyze hair and scalp condition. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment. Shampoo customers' hair. Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Apply hair extensions. Clean and style wigs and hair pieces. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Perform receptionist duties. Hair styling techniques: Blow drying. Iron waving/curling. Extensions. Hair colouring techniques: Bleach. Dyes/tints. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Are you willing to relocate for this position?.
