Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This is a key leadership role within our organization, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
- Conduct regular account analysis to identify variances and discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely payment to employees
- Utilize accounting software (Esilaw) to maintain accurate financial records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager in Alberta or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficient in using accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
