Security Guards will have a thorough understanding of the Post Orders and Security Standard Operational Procedures (SOP?s) of Guardium Security and the clients and sites they are responsible for. The successful candidate will work with directly and continually with the Client, their staff, customers, and the public, to ensure quality standards are met through constant communication, public interaction, and positive reinforcement.

_*Duties and Responsibilities:*_
* Conduct regular site and post patrols for clients in a timely and professional manner.
* Respond to, investigate, and report incidents to Supervisor and Operations Manager as required.
* Responsible and quality handling of various verbal and physical incidents with and through your training and experience.
* Maintain the quality of written incident reports; descriptive and detailed, be concise in your writing, and include relevant information.
* Keep a detailed log of completed current, and upcoming tasks. Completing shift summaries with that information, and anything that requires the attention of the upper management.
* Learn job duties and responsibilities of different retail and tactical sites & cover them in the event of emergencies and last-minute coverages.
* Provide guard and staff support, orientation, site briefing, and training.
* Work cohesively with Guardium Security staff to ensure quality and professionalism in the guard roster.
* Reporting to Operations Support Team for any supply, training & administrative needs.
* Learn general and specific duties and responsibilities for company?s COR Certification, and OH&S policies and protocols.
* Ensure that any client or Guardium Security?s equipment is well maintained and in peak operational condition.
* Other duties and projects as assigned.
_*Job Qualifications:*_
* *You must possess a current Alberta Security License*
* *You must have reliable transportation to get to site*
* *You should have a min of 1 year Security experience.*
* *Have Use of Force Training (CTSS/PPCT) (an asset)*
* *Level C ? 1st Aid/CPR/AED current certification MANDATORY*
* *Superior verbal de-escalation skills (NVCI definite asset)*
* Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
* Attention to detail and comprehensive report writing ability.
* Be willing and able to keep up to the physical demands of the job.
* Available to work weekends.
* Available to work statutory and other holidays.
* Use smartphone software to access post orders, directions, and do reports.
Additional assets include:
* AGLC Certifications ? ProTech ? ProServe ? SellSafe ? QCW (Qualified Cannabis Worker)
* Knowledge of and familiar with the SSIA (Security Services & Investigations Act)
* Comfortable and experience with approaching/apprehending abusive & aggressive persons.
* Strong willingness to constantly attend training courses and improve skills.
* Ability to attend operations and client meetings.
* Liaison and work with various law enforcement agencies
