SNS is currently looking for *Security Guard* in the *Kootenay and the Okanagan Region *

*Requirements of Security will include, but are not limited to:*
· Valid Basic Security License (BST)
· First Aid Certification considered an asset
· Driver?s License and clean abstract
· Physical & mental ability to work a 8-hr shift, ability to work alone
· Fluency to speak, read and write in English
· Confidence with technology (i.e., smart phone, tablet, etc.)
· Strong decision-making skills and calm demeanor
· Previous work experience in the forestry sector will be considered an asset
· Ability to work afternoon, evenings, and weekends
*Responsibilities of Security will include, but are not limited to:*
· Aid public with Residential Evacuation
· Ensuring no public gets into the building that is being evacuated or which needs help
· Obtaining statements and collecting information for Incident Reports
· Report on suspicious activity and wildlife as it may occur
· Conduct routine patrols of premise for any safety and security issues.
· Checking for fires, wildlife, vandalism, suspicious or illegal activity and safety/fire hazards.
· Exceptional skills to observe, record, and reporting activities and security incidents while on shift
· Provide exceptional, high level customer service to the client in a sometimes challenging and dynamic environment
· Enforce regulations and follow site specific instructions
· Respond professionally to site emergencies
· Effectively communicate all suspicious activities and concerns to the appropriate supervisors
