We are currently looking for a *part-time Custodian* to join our team. In this role you will provide building operation services and monitoring of primary equipment. The building operational services extend to the following buildings: Recreation Center, Condominiums, Medical Centre, and Gate House. The Village by the Arboretum is an award-winning adult lifestyle community in Guelph and is currently home to over 1200 residents.
If you enjoy working independently and collaboratively with others, handle pressure well, and have the communication skills needed to interact with residents in a friendly, respectful, and helpful way on a daily basis, this opportunity is for you. Reporting to the Facility Supervisor, Village by the Arboretum (VBA), you will provide cleaning services and set up for functions for the residents in the Village centre on a daily basis.
You understand sanitary and institutional cleaning principles. You also hold a valid Class G driver?s license. You must be able to lift up to 20 kg, and work at heights.
The Custodian we seek will have the following skills and qualifications:

* Perform general housekeeping and janitorial tasks
* Complete daily pool and spa testing and pool maintenance
* Assist with activity setups
* Maintenance and setting up of outdoor amenities
* Manage coffee stations
* Perform tasks assigned by the Facilities Supervisor

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

* Understand the principles of sanitary cleaning\\
* Able to work with limited supervision
* Valid driver?s license and clean driver?s abstract.
* Must be available every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
* Alternative weekdays Wednesday and Thursday ? 10:00 am to 6:30 pm
* May require occasional pre-planned holiday coverages
* Scheduled by Facility Supervisor with a minimum of 16 hours per week.
