We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks of a busy dental office. This role requires proficiency in electronic medical records and familiarity with dental terminology, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.
*Responsibilities*
* Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
* Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently.
* Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems, including curve hero as the software
* Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing in a professional manner.
* Process payments and manage patient accounts accurately.
* Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication and patient flow.
* Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
* Stay updated on medical terminology and office procedures to provide accurate information to patients.
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
* Proficiency in electronic medical records systems; experience with Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration is a plus.
