Job description Lion Guard is an elite firm seeking to add guards looking to move up in the security industry. You must either have experience making arrests, plainclothes floor walking, catching shoplifters, or uniform security within a store setting. You must also have a willingness and an eagerness to learn the aforementioned skills. Please do mention if you have guard experience and are NOW ready for a management position in the company - be ready to to back up any claims. www.lionguardsecurity.ca Job Types: Seasonal, Casual, Permanent, Part-time, Full-time Salary: $18.00-$19.50 per hour Schedule: 10-hour shift 12 hour shift 8-hour shift Day shift Holidays Monday to Friday Night shift Weekend availability Experience: Customer service: 1 year (required) Loss prevention: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: Security Guard Licence (required) CPR Certification (preferred) Work Location: In person Responsibilities: - Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment - Protect property and assets by maintaining a visible presence - Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers - Control access to the premises by permitting or denying entry - Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms, and respond to emergencies or disturbances - Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities Skills: - Loss Prevention: Knowledge of techniques to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security risks - Law Enforcement: Familiarity with laws, regulations, and procedures related to security operations - CCTV: Ability to operate and monitor closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems effectively - Surveillance: Proficiency in observing people, objects, or processes to gather information for security purposes Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
