*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join the K1 Speed team at STC. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and maintaining an efficient and safe kitchen environment. You?ll play a key role in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience, all while adhering to food safety regulations and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. If you're passionate about cooking and enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, we?d love to have you on our team! *Job Description* As a Chef, you will oversee food preparation, manage kitchen staff, and ensure that all meals are served according to K1 Speed's high standards. You will manage inventory, ensure food safety, and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. You will also collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. *Duties and Responsibilities* * *Prepare and cook high-quality meals* according to the restaurant's menu and guest preferences. * *Ensure proper food safety and sanitation* standards are followed at all times in the kitchen. * *Oversee kitchen operations*, managing food inventory and ordering supplies as necessary. * *Supervise kitchen staff*, providing training and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to standard. * *Ensure food is prepared and presented* in an attractive and appetizing manner, maintaining a high standard of quality. * *Maintain kitchen cleanliness*: ensure that workstations, equipment, and storage areas are kept clean and organized. * *Assist in menu planning* and adjusting recipes as needed. * *Coordinate with front-of-house staff* to ensure orders are prepared and served promptly. * *Perform closing duties*, ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and prepared for the next day?s operation. * *Ensure proper storage of food* to prevent waste and ensure inventory is always stocked. *Basic Requirements* * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must be available to work evening and weekend shifts. * Must have a valid Food Handler?s Certificate (or be able to obtain one within the first month). *Work Environment* * The work is primarily performed in an indoor kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and kitchen equipment. * The work environment is fast-paced and can be noisy due to kitchen operations and interactions with other staff.
