Village Market offers a small selection of Chinese and Vietnamese takeout food alongside a range of grocery essentials. We also sell tobacco, lottery tickets, drinks, and snacks for your everyday needs.
Currently, we are looking for a Retail Sales Clerk to join our group. This position will be full-time and permanent, and the work location is 336 Wardrope Ave, Thunder Bay, ON P7G 2H8.
The wage will be $17.20/hour with 30-40 hours per week. The overtime pay will be 1.5x the regular rate, beginning after 44 hours of work per week and / or 8 hours per day.
Job descriptions:
* Greet customers and provide information about products and services, including Chinese and Vietnamese takeout food, grocery items, tobacco, lottery, drinks, and snacks.
* *Assist customers in choosing products and advise them on storage or preparation when applicable.*
* Provide pricing information, process payments, and prepare sales receipts.
* *Prepare food orders for takeout, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.*
* Display merchandise in a visually appealing manner to aid customer selection.
* *Maintain accurate sales and inventory records and restock as needed to avoid outages.*
Job Requirements:
* Language: English
* *Education: completion of secondary school*
* Work experience: At least 1 year of related work experience
