*About the Role:*
Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre (CONC) is seeking a visionary and skilled *Communications Manager* to shape and lead the organization?s communication strategy across public relations, digital media, and internal engagement.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Communications Manager will develop and implement integrated communication plans that enhance CONC?s brand, increase community awareness, and strengthen staff engagement. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact across the organization?from storytelling and advocacy to intranet development and social media campaigns.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Design and execute organization-wide communications strategy
* Oversee website (WordPress), intranet, social media, and design platforms
* Write and edit press releases, key messaging, and donor/stakeholder communications
* Manage staff communications and culture-building initiatives
* Support fundraising and volunteer campaigns with strong communications tools
* Monitor communications metrics and provide data-driven recommendations
* Act as media contact and manage public relations and issue response
*What You Bring:*
* 5?7 years of communications or public relations experience, ideally in a nonprofit or mission-driven setting
* Proficiency in digital platforms (WordPress, social media, SEO, design tools)
* Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities
* Experience managing high-profile organizational messaging and media relations
* A collaborative and self-directed approach to managing complex communications projects
* Understanding of AODA and accessibility in communications is an asset
* Passion for social equity, inclusion, and community-based service delivery
