*Accounting Manager/Plant Accountant*
Reporting to the General Manager, the Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions at a plant level, including compliance with financial regulations, budgeting, monthly financial statements, product costing, project accounting, external and internal reporting.
*What does the Accounting Manager do?*
* Responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and product costing at plant level, and using data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control.
* Completes all monthly and yearly financial reporting (including but not limited to Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, AR/AP Aging, Bank Reconciliation, Budget vs Actual, Tax Returns, etc?), and ensure all results are accurate and reported in a timely manner.
* Manages the plant's costing system and ensures that standard costs are accurate in Financial ERP system to allow for accurate measuring of continuous improvement.
* Responsible for maintaining Program Report Cards, and working with Program Management and Operations as part of our ?Flawless? Launch initiative.
* Responsible for weekly production financial reporting (including but not limited to sales, labor, containment costs, and cost reduction initiatives).
* Responsible for administration and management of capital procurement process.
* Ensures that proper internal financial controls remain compliant with GAAP, and ensure associated policies are implemented and followed.
* Implements accounting procedures, financial policies and continuous improvement as directed by the Corporate Controller.
* Maintenance of fixed assets, GL reconciliations and other projects as assigned.
* Supervision of the accounting staff.
* Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
* Supports activities related to the maintenance of our ISO14001 & IATF 16949 quality systems.
*What you bring to the table*
* Bachelor?s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
* Professional Accounting Designation (CPA or CMA) preferred
* Minimum 5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 in an Accounting Manager role
* High-volume automotive experience considered an asset
* Strong computer skills using Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems
*Salary information: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 (Salary is dependent on experience)*
